Hello and welcome to our site!

Anxious and Afraid is a podcast hosted by two long-time friends from the Pacific Northwest with a love for stories that will make your pulse quicken and your eyes widen.

Shawna and Abby bonded over their shared love of ghost-hunting shows and, most of all, the movie The Titanic after becoming friends in high school. Their obsession with the macabre eventually led them to start a podcast where they share their knowledge of tragic events, the paranormal, true crime, and conspiracy theories with their listeners.

They considered several names for the show but eventually settled on a name that truly encapsulated the way these subjects made them feel: anxious and afraid.

To make their podcast a reality, Abby's tech-savvy husband, Michael, agreed to be the official podcast engineer and occasional commentator.

We hope you'll join us as we explore these dark and mysterious stories with a few nervous laughs along the way.
